Job summary

Fairstead is a mission-driven real estate firm focused on affordable communities and is seeking a high-performing full-cycle recruiter to scale our national operations. You will design, implement, and own a modern, increasingly automated recruiting process across markets and roles.

You will source top talent, partner with regional leaders on hiring strategy, and lead automation initiatives as the function grows, potentially building a small recruiting team over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally including high-volume or multi-site hiring.
• Track record of building or significantly overhauling a recruiting process or tech stack yourself.
• Hands-on experience with an ATS (Greenhouse preferred).
• Comfort with data: you can build and read a recruiting dashboard, and you make decisions from it.
• Judgment to know what to automate, what still needs a human touch, and when a process is genuinely ready to scale.
• Strong stakeholder management skills: you can influence regional and site-level leaders who don't report to you.
• Understanding (or a fast ability to learn) how recruiting needs differ across geographic markets: labor supply, comp benchmarks, competitive dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Run full-cycle recruiting for property management roles across markets (site-level to portfolio-level).
• Source and close high-performing talent and define clearly what a high performer looks like for each role and market.
• Build understanding of market differences in talent supply, compensation norms, and competitive landscape; adjust sourcing and pitch accordingly.
• Partner with hiring managers and regional leaders on hiring strategy, not just filling requisitions.
• Design and implement scalable, automated recruiting processes from requisition to offer.
• Evaluate and help implement recruiting technology (ATS, sourcing tools, screening/assessment, scheduling, workflows).
• Create repeatable workflows for high-volume roles and for senior hires.
• Develop reporting on pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.
• Document processes to run consistently across markets and be ready for hand-off.
