About The Role

Based in Johnson Creek and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this full-time position is ideal for an outgoing, resourceful recruiter who enjoys meeting new people, starting conversations, attending events, and building lasting professional relationships. Rather than relying solely on incoming applications, you will take an active approach to finding and engaging potential candidates, including people who may not yet be considering a career change.

You will lead full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and initial outreach through candidate coordination and successful placement. The role also involves regular travel between Saelens locations and occasional travel to recruiting events. Some networking activities may take place outside standard business hours.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring at least two years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or a related field. An outgoing and confident personality, along with a genuine interest in meeting people and learning about their goals, is important to success in this position.

Strong communication, organization, follow-through, creativity, and relationship-building skills are required. Applicants should be comfortable representing an employer at community and industry events, managing multiple recruiting needs, and maintaining connections with candidates and partners over time. The ability to travel regularly for recruiting purposes is required. Experience recruiting for manufacturing, industrial, or skilled-trades positions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for production, skilled-trades, technical, professional, and leadership openings. Use proactive sourcing and thoughtful outreach to identify qualified prospects, initiate conversations, and encourage interest in Saelens opportunities.
• Represent Saelens at job fairs, trade shows, schools, technical colleges, community events, and networking functions. Build relationships with workforce organizations, educational institutions, community partners, and prospective candidates. Participate in recruiting activities across the Johnson Creek and Milwaukee locations, traveling as needed to support hiring priorities.
• Guide candidates through the recruiting process with clear, timely communication and consistent follow-through. Work to understand hiring needs, connect suitable candidates with opportunities, and support successful placements and retention. Look beyond active job seekers to discover people who may be a strong fit for Saelens, even when they are not currently searching for a new role.

Benefits

• The position offers a base salary of $50,000, with the opportunity to earn up to $35,000 in annual incentive compensation.
• Incentives include quarterly recruiting performance compensation, successful placement incentives, and a retention bonus.
• A $5,000 hiring bonus is available to direct hires only; candidates hired through a recruiting or staffing agency are not eligible.
• This is a full-time opportunity with varied, relationship-centered work across company locations and the surrounding community.
