Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced Recruiter to build our Appleton market presence and lead sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding for local client partners. You’ll work with clients to tailor recruitment strategies and support candidates through hiring processes.

Join a growing local operation with opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership as the market expands. This role is based in Appleton with hybrid flexibility (remote up to two days per month).

Qualifications

• Prior recruiting experience required, with staffing agency experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to source candidates proactively rather than relying solely on applicants.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and evaluate candidates for a variety of positions across many industries, with an emphasis on industrial roles.
• Partner with clients to determine talent acquisition objectives, write job descriptions, and develop recruitment strategies.
• Build talent pipelines using a variety of channels e.g., internal databases, job boards, community organizations, social media, networking, and proactive outreach.
• Guide candidates through the client interview, offer, and onboarding process, offering coaching as needed and celebrating their success.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding candidate progress, hiring timelines, and market insights.
• Support employees on assignment through check-ins, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management.
• Complete background checks, employment verifications, skills assessments, and other pre-employment activities.
• Maintain accurate records in our internal systems.
• Stay current on local hiring trends, compensation, and workforce conditions.
• Represent Spherion at hiring events, networking opportunities, and community events.

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is hiring an experienced Recruiter to help grow our presence in the Appleton and greater Fox Valley market.

This is an opportunity to join a growing local operation and play an important role in building the market from the ground up. In this role, you'll work as part of our recruiting team to source, evaluate, and onboard talent for placement with local client partners. You’ll also collaborate closely with clients to develop tailored recruitment strategies and support candidates throughout the hiring process. As the market grows, there will be opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys the pace and ownership that comes with agency recruiting. Prior staffing agency experience is strongly preferred, although we’ll also consider recruiters from other environments who have experience managing multiple openings, sourcing proactively, and working directly with hiring managers.

This is a full-time position based in our Appleton office. Because recruiting is highly collaborative and relationship-driven, in this role you will work primarily from the office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per month.
