Job summary

American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to identify, attract, and select top candidates for vessel and shoreside hourly roles. You will collaborate with hiring managers, source candidates through multiple channels, and lead recruiting events across targeted territories.

This role emphasizes building a diverse and robust talent pipeline. You will manage full lifecycle recruiting and stay current with industry best practices, contributing to ACBL’s growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, communications, or business management.
• Proven experience as Talent Acquisition Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment methods and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with ATS and HR software.
• A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

• Create, coordinate, and lead recruiting events within targeted hiring territories.
• Represent the company at recruiting, career, community, and industry events to attract talent, build candidate pipelines, and educate prospective candidates about career opportunities.
• Conduct interviews and assessments to identify the best candidates for our company.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our high-volume vessel and shoreside hourly positions, from attraction, sourcing to onboarding.
• Play a crucial role in shaping ACBL's talent acquisition strategy and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment methods and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
• A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
