Job summary

American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) in Paducah, KY or Cairo, IL, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to identify, attract, and hire top talent for vessel and shoreside hourly roles. You will partner with hiring managers, coordinate recruiting events, and manage the full lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in HR or related field, proven TA experience, strong communication, and proficiency with ATS/HR software.

• Bachelor's degree in HR, communications, business, or a related field.
• Experience as Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment methods and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ATS and HR software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT

• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.

• Create, coordinate, and lead recruiting events within targeted hiring territories.
• Represent the company at recruiting, career, community, and industry events to attract talent, build candidate pipelines, and educate prospective candidates about career opportunities.
• Conduct interviews and assessments to identify the best candidates for our company.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our high-volume vessel and shoreside hourly positions, from attraction, sourcing to onboarding.
• Play a crucial role in shaping ACBL's talent acquisition strategy and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment methods and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
• A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

• Previous experience in staffing and sales or maritime industry.
