Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Manager will serve as a vital business partner to the organization. The Talent Acquisition Manager will plan, implement, develop, lead, direct, and coordinate the organization’s policies, procedures, recruiting & hiring initiatives.

This position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on recruiting and interviewing including recruiting policies and procedures, the full talent life cycle for interns and volunteers, employee relations, employee communications and training, and broader workforce retention and development. This role will require strong consultation and training skills, peer/subordinate leadership, the ability to lead by influence, and possess strong business acumen to drive the use of progressive recruiting solutions that will align the delivery of the HR Team’s Programs/services with business objectives and priorities.

Responsibilities
  1. Partner with the Human Resource Manager to implement and execute HR initiatives in the areas of recruiting, hiring and onboarding as well as employee retention and talent development to support the achievement of business outcomes.
  2. Oversee the recruitment process and life-cycle, including initial assessments, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  3. Lead and/or participate on HR related projects to include the revision, development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  4. Act as liaison with the Executive Director and other Passion for Life leadership members for means of communication.
  5. Maintain a current knowledge of recruiting and hiring best practices.
  6. Serve as a role model with high caliber ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct.
  7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
  2. 1-3 years of direct leadership experience.
  3. 2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial/start-up environment preferred, with a clear ability to both execute strategically and “roll-up-your-sleeves” when needed.
  4. Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects.
  5. Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.).
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent decisions.
  9. Ability to maintain highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  10. Knowledge of Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Additional Information

Estimated time commitment: 8-10 hours/week depending on needs, including:

  1. Monthly meetings.
  2. Weekly and bi-weekly conference calls.
  3. Busiest time period: work is consistent throughout the school year.
  4. Term limit: 6 Months (Can be extendable on mutual agreement).
