Job summary

Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin seeks a Talent Acquisition Partner to drive the full recruiting lifecycle and partner with leaders to fill leadership roles. The role may also include HR Generalist duties such as employee relations, learning and development, and daily HR tasks.

The position is hybrid at the Metro Office in Edina, MN, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm and a salary range of $68,000–$70,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR Administration or equivalent experience.
• 3 years experience facilitating all phases of the full recruiting lifecycle (i.e. sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, etc.).
• SHRM certification (preferred).
• Understanding of the nonprofit industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.
• Collaborate with leaders to understand hiring needs and draft job descriptions.
• Oversee interview scheduling and preparation of interview questions and materials.
• Coordinate offers, salary ranges, start dates and onboarding steps.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

About the job

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will partner with leaders to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Work closely with leaders to be intimately involved the recruiting efforts to fill leadership positions.

This position may also take on HR Generalist responsibilities assisting with employee relations concerns, learning and development and other daily functions of the HR Department as may be needed and/or time permits.

Essentials

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the full recruiting lifecycle.
• Work closely with leaders to gain a thorough understanding of VOA’s hiring needs, implement tailored approaches for departmental recruiting success and
• Collaborates with department directors and program managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria to be used in creating attractive and impactful job postings.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting practices and strategies based on the needs of the organization.
• Initiates background check process through MN DHS, HireRight, Trusted Employees, etc.
• Owns the onboarding process, including I9 Verification.
• Facilitates bi-monthly New Employee Orientation.
• Screens applications for best fit candidates, may conduct screening interviews and selects qualified candidates.
• Oversee the interview process including scheduling interviews, leading preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
• Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details, including offer letter preparation.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Actively seeks out opportunities to develop VOA’s visibility in the marketplace through researching and participating in unique recruiting opportunities and college job fairs.
• Human Resources Department support, as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
