About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager is the lead recruiter for the Agathos AEC platform, responsible for full-cycle recruiting across Agathos AEC corporate and its four operating companies: Plump Engineering, JMPE Engineering, Peterson Engineering, and Tecton Architects. This role partners closely with hiring managers and firm leadership across multiple offices and time zones to build strong, sustainable talent pipelines for architecture, engineering, and design roles, while establishing a consistent, high-quality recruiting experience across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and closing — for corporate and portfolio company roles across all business units.
- Partner with hiring managers and firm leadership at Plump Engineering, JMPE Engineering, Peterson Engineering, and Tecton Architects to understand hiring needs and build role-specific sourcing strategies.
- Serve as the platform's subject-matter expert on recruiting for architecture, engineering, and design talent, including licensed architects and engineers, designers, project managers, and technical support staff.
- Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing channels to build and maintain a proactive pipeline of active and passive AEC candidates.
- Develop and execute an employer branding strategy for the Agathos AEC platform, including LinkedIn presence, to strengthen visibility and candidate attraction across a competitive AEC talent market.
- Manage requisitions and candidate pipelines in the applicant tracking system, ensuring accurate, timely reporting on open roles, time-to-fill, and pipeline health.
- Standardize and continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience across all portfolio companies to create a consistent look, feel, and quality bar.
- Coordinate and negotiate offers in partnership with hiring managers and People/HR leadership, ensuring competitive, equitable offers aligned to market data.
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional associations, and industry networks to support pipeline development for hard-to-fill AEC roles.
- Track and report recruiting metrics and market insights to platform and firm leadership, informing workforce planning across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with required experience recruiting within the architecture and engineering design industry.
- Expert-level proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn-based sourcing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage recruiting for multiple business units, offices, or entities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of AEC roles, licensure requirements, and career paths (e.g., architects, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection engineers, designers, project managers).
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting/HR technology tools.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence hiring managers and firm leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule based out of Houston, TX, with occasional travel to portfolio company offices.
