Job summary

CARIAN is seeking a highly hands-on Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and strengthen the recruiting team while personally recruiting for priority and hard-to-fill positions in the power & utilities sector.

This player-coach role requires owning difficult searches and developing the TA team, refining sourcing strategies, and ensuring hiring-manager alignment to translate recruiting effort into hires.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition or related fields.
• Experience recruiting professional/technical talent in power, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to lead a recruiting team and influence leadership.

Responsibilities

• Personally own priority, difficult, technical, leadership, and confidential searches from intake through accepted offer.
• Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, referrals, databases, and direct outreach.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies for specialized power, utility, engineering, construction, project management, and field services roles.
• Conduct recruiter screens and assess candidate qualifications, relevance, motivation, compensation expectations, and fit.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring leaders with clear recommendations and market context.
• Build and maintain pipelines for recurring and strategically important positions.
• Manage candidate engagement, interviews, compensation discussions, offers, and closing.
