Job summary

CARIAN is a female-owned consulting firm focused on the power sector, hiring a Technical Recruiter for multi-role sourcing across utilities programs. This six-month W-2 contract is based in Somerset, NJ with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office).

You will source, engage, screen, and present qualified candidates and partner with hiring managers to meet urgent hiring needs. The role emphasizes outbound recruiting, building pipelines, and managing multiple searches in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in recruiting, talent acquisition, or sourcing.
• Experience recruiting for engineering, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or other technical roles preferred.
• Proactively source and engage passive candidates via outbound recruiting.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and an ATS is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple searches in a fast-paced environment.
• Hybrid work environment collaboration with hiring managers and team.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent recruiting experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source, engage, and screen candidates for technical roles in power/utilities.
• Outbound sourcing to build candidate pipelines for active and upcoming roles.
• Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, direct sourcing to identify talent.
• Identify candidates from utilities, engineering, consulting, contractors.
• Conduct initial screenings and assess experience, compensation expectations, availability.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with summaries.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and priorities.
• Manage multiple requisitions, ensuring speed and quality.
• Build pipelines of passive candidates for recurring roles.
• Track recruiting activity and pipeline metrics.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain candidate engagement through offers.
• Maintain accurate ATS data.
