Job summary

CARIAN is seeking a hands-on Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and strengthen the recruiting team while personally recruiting for priority, hard-to-fill roles in the Power & Utilities sector.

This player-coach role blends strategic leadership with active sourcing, governance of pipelines, and partnership with hiring managers to ensure high-quality hires in a hybrid Somerset, NJ setting three days on-site.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition or recruiting
• Experience recruiting in utilities, engineering, or infrastructure markets
• Proven ability to close difficult leadership searches

Responsibilities

• Personally own priority, difficult, technical, leadership, and confidential searches from intake through accepted offer
• Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, referrals, databases, direct outreach, and other channels
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies for specialized power, utility, engineering, construction, project management, project controls, field services, consulting, digital, and business-development positions
• Directly manage, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition team members
• Lead effective intake discussions with hiring leaders, clarify qualifications and compensation parameters, and ensure alignment with market realities
