Job summary

CARIAN is a women-owned consulting firm serving the power sector. We seek a Technical Recruiter to support hiring across power and utilities programs, sourcing and engaging candidates for engineering, construction, and data roles.

Responsibilities include proactive sourcing, candidate screening, and building pipelines across multiple concurrent searches. This is a remote role with periodic in-person meetings in Somerset, NJ, and may convert to full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or sourcing experience.
• Experience recruiting for engineering, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or technical roles preferred.
• Proactively source and engage passive candidates through outbound recruiting.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS preferred.
• Strong candidate screening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source, engage, and screen candidates for technical roles in power/utilities.
• Develop pipelines with outbound sourcing for active and upcoming roles.
• Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, direct sourcing to identify talent.
• Identify candidates from utilities, engineering, and consulting firms.
• Conduct initial screenings and assess fit and compensation expectations.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear summaries.
• Partner with managers to define role requirements and priorities.
• Manage multiple searches with speed and quality in a remote setting.
• Maintain candidate pipelines and track activity in ATS and metrics.
