Job summary

Arc is aging its mission to electrify the marine industry and is seeking a Talent Acquisition Leader to build and lead a recruiting engine that scales with production and defense programs. This on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters will shape hiring across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams.

You will recruit for critical senior roles, establish scalable processes, and partner with leaders to design roles, forecast headcount, and manage compensation discussions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience; includes building and leading a team
• Experience hiring across technical and non-technical roles (engineering, manufacturing, skilled trades)
• Background in high-growth environments such as startup, hardware, automotive, aerospace, or energy
• Proficiency with an ATS (Greenhouse preferred) and using data to forecast, prioritize, and report
• Ability to influence senior leaders, push back with data, and hold hiring managers accountable
• Ability to build processes from scratch and personally close top candidates
• Track record of scaling AI across recruiting teams to improve throughput, quality, and creativity, responsibly

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of recruiters and coordinators; set goals and improve candidate experience
• Own Arc's hiring plan end-to-end; partner with senior leadership on headcount timelines
• Personally recruit for critical senior roles across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and commercial
• Build scalable recruiting processes from intake to offer
• Advise hiring managers on role design, market realities, compensation, and selection decisions
• Run Greenhouse and recruiting tech; keep data clean; leverage AI to do more with a small team
• Share pipeline health, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, and source quality with leaders
• Source hard-to-fill technical and skilled trades talent including automotive, aerospace, energy, and marine sectors
• Tell Arc's story through job descriptions, outreach, events, university and veteran partnerships, and referrals
• Develop an inclusive hiring process so people from all backgrounds see themselves at Arc and belong
• Ensure hiring practices meet employment law and ITAR/export control as Arc expands into defense work
• Manage agency relationships and recruiting budget with a bias toward in-house capability
