Job summary

Great American Insurance is seeking a Recruiting Intern to join its Human Resources team in downtown Cincinnati. The Intern will support day-to-day recruiting activities, assist with interview scheduling and video screens, and contribute to recruiting initiatives and events.

This hybrid internship is based in our downtown Cincinnati headquarters and is designed for a student who can work part-time during the fall and spring semesters, with the opportunity to transition to full-time hours during

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Available to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year.
• Strong interest in Human Resources, recruiting, or talent acquisition.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Leadership experience through academic, extracurricular, volunteer, or work-related activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of recruiters with day-to-day recruiting activities and talent acquisition initiatives.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate logistics between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.
• Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for open positions.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting data within applicant tracking systems and reports.
• Assist with the planning and execution of recruiting events, career fairs, intern programs, and interview days.
• Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruiting process to ensure a positive experience.
• Support onboarding activities, including new hire orientation preparation and coordination.
• Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and interest.
• Partner with Human Resources team members on projects and administrative tasks that support business objectives.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance recruiting efficiency and effectiveness.
