Job summary

Roskam Foods in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist to lead onboarding, coordinate screenings, and serve as the main contact for new hires. The role supports LMS tasks, HR processes, and process improvements within a manufacturing context.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred) and has 1+ year HR/administrative experience, with bilingual English/Spanish capabilities and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in HR, administrative and/or program coordination roles.
• Knowledge of HR processes and onboarding best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with candidates and new hires.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and Workday preferred.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Roskam Foods as a primary point for candidates and new hires.
• Facilitate onboarding including communication and completion of onboarding requirements.
• Conduct pre-employment screenings and coordinate with HR on issues.
• Serve as point of contact for new hires and provide guidance throughout onboarding.
• Prepare onboarding schedules, welcome kits, and materials.
• Assist LMS administration by uploading/testing content and tracking training.
• Support People Services and Systems with process improvements, special projects and events.
• Provide additional administrative support as necessary.
