Freeport-McMoRan in Bagdad, AZ is seeking an Engineering Specialist I - Tailings to provide technical guidance for site projects under close supervision. The role involves reviewing investigations, developing recommendations, and supporting small to medium construction efforts.

You will work with vendors, learn local regulations, and contribute to the safe, efficient operation of our tailings facilities in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects and programs at the assigned site.
• Review, investigate and develop recommendations for assigned engineering projects.
• Participate in site construction, expansion or modification projects and manage vendor contracts.
• Develop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relevant to the assignment.
