Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking someone with a brief industrial background for our Bagdad, Arizona operations. The role involves operating and maintaining tailings equipment, performing minor repairs, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

You will work with the tailings system, monitor flows, and support the maintenance team while adhering to English-language safety instructions and site rules. This is a fulltime on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months of industrial environment experience.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written safety instructions in English.
• Must be able to communicate in English regarding job assignments and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain tailings components and related equipment.
• Assist with minor repairs on valves and pressure systems.
• Perform routine inspections of dams and document requirements.
• Follow lock-out procedures for tailings lines during valve work.
• Coordinate with operators on flows to tailings dam and monitor systems.
