Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks an Engineering Specialist I - Tailings at our Bagdad operations in Arizona. You will assist in providing technical guidance for engineering projects, review investigations, and develop recommendations while participating in site construction and managing vendor contracts.

The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge and compliance in a 24/7 operation with potential shift work; compensation reflects base salary plus benefits, and eligibility for discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 4 years of engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

Assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects.
Review, investigate and develop recommendations for assigned engineering projects.
Participate in small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects and manage vendor contracts for services and equipment.
Develop working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
