Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Bagdad, AZ is seeking an entry-level Operations/Maintenance helper to support tailings facility duties and related maintenance. The role requires about three months in an industrial environment and the ability to follow safety instructions in English; training and testing will be provided.

The position offers a pay range of $21.00 to $27.00 per hour, plus benefits including medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and employee assistance.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains tailings components.
• Assist with minor repairs on valves, spigots and pressure systems.
• Conducts routine inspections and maintenance activities.
• Learns monitoring system for tailings line and assists in adjustments.
• Operates mobile equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, trucks and forklifts.
• Performs area housekeeping and other duties as required.
