Job summary

ContactLink Solutions is seeking a skilled Tagalog interpreter based in the US for a fully remote full-time contractor role. You will interpret between Tagalog and English, supporting healthcare and medical terminology, with an emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

You should have at least 3 years of interpretation experience, excellent listening and note-taking, and the ability to adapt to client protocols.

As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between Tagalog and English speakers. The interpreter needs to be able to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. It is essential to ensure a quiet and secure environment. Notepads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Tagalog
• Based in US
• Minimum 3year of interpretation experience
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, with permission or at the request of the client

Technical Requirements:

• 90% English proficiency
• Steady wired internet connection
• USB wired headset
• Windows 10 or Mac
