Job Description
Hybrid: This role requires reporting to the Cole Engineering Center Tower, Warren MI, at least three times per week or as dictated by the business. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will support manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling, and material management.
Responsibilities
- Identify and facilitate process improvement projects and kaizens to reduce waste, meet customer demand, improve inventory management, reduce scrap and rework, and enhance equipment reliability and output.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and teams, engaging with all organizational levels and promoting employee involvement.
- Conduct advanced data collection and analysis for value stream mapping, process mapping, and root cause analysis; use data to troubleshoot manufacturing and business issues, optimize material flow, and improve facility layouts.
- Support material flow improvements in scheduling (Kanban, sequencing, kitting) and handling methods.
- Assist in deploying TPM and SMED tools through workshop facilitation to boost machine uptime.
- Collaborate with floor Supervisors and team members to improve efficiency and attain corporate and plant KPIs and AIPs.
- Analyze existing manufacturing and supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to implement process improvements, ensuring quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
- Lead and support initiatives to streamline operations and optimize workflows.
- Monitor automation equipment performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and train process owners in lean and statistical tools to foster operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant post-graduate experience in purchasing, industrial engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or product management.
- Willingness to travel 70-80% domestically and internationally to suppliers; must possess a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing operations.
- Experience in die casting or machining operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a broad understanding of propulsion technologies.
- Ability to manage complex cases independently and present information effectively to diverse audiences.
