A leading automotive company is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain team member to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency. The role involves identifying inefficiencies, leading initiatives, and collaborating with teams to optimize workflows. This hybrid position requires regular onsite presence in Warren, MI, and offers potential relocation benefits.
Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to the Cole Engineering Center Tower, Warren MI, at least three times per week, or as dictated by the business.
As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will support key areas such as manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling, and material management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and facilitate process improvement projects and kaizens to reduce waste, meet customer demand, improve inventory management, reduce scrap and rework, and enhance equipment reliability and output.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and teams, engaging with all organizational levels and promoting employee involvement.
Conduct advanced data collection and analysis for value stream mapping, process mapping, and root cause analysis. Use data to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing and business issues, optimize material flow, and plan projects.
Support material flow enhancements in scheduling (Kanban, sequencing, kitting) and material handling methods.
Assist in deploying TPM and SMED tools through workshop facilitation to improve machine uptime.
Collaborate with floor Supervisors and hourly Team Members to improve efficiency, impacting KPI and AIP achievement.
Evaluate existing manufacturing, supply chain, and system processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to implement process improvements, ensuring quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and optimize workflows.
Monitor automation equipment performance, identify optimization opportunities, and train process owners in lean and statistical tools to foster operational excellence.
