A leading automotive company is seeking a Supply Chain team member to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency. The role involves analyzing data, leading initiatives, and collaborating with teams to optimize workflows. Candidates should possess strong leadership and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Cole Engineering Center Tower, Warren MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for support in one of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and facilitate process improvement projects and kaizens to reduce waste, meet customer demand, improve inventory management, reduce scrap and rework and improve equipment reliability and output.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and teams, interacting with all levels of the organization and enabling employee engagement.
Conduct advanced data collection and analysis for value stream mapping, process mapping, and root cause analysis. Utilize data to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/ business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, and facility layout.
Support material flow improvements in scheduling (Kanban, sequencing, kitting) and material handling methods
Support TPM and SMED tool deployment with workshop facilitation to improve machine uptime
Work with floor Supervisors & hourly Team Members to drive efficiency improvements that impact successful attainment of Corporate and Plant KPI's and AIP's
Analyze and evaluate existing processes in manufacturing, supply chain, and other systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to implement process improvements, ensuring high-quality outputs, safety, and timely delivery of projects.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining operations and optimizing production workflows.
Monitor the performance metrics of automation equipment to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Train and coach process owners in the use of lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques to create process management and measurement systems and develop an operational excellence mindset at the department level
