Program Summary
The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations. Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.
Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative, clerical, and office support to ensure the efficient operation of organizational programs and activities. This position coordinates office functions, maintains records and correspondence, schedules meetings, prepares reports, manages calendars, and provides customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The Administrative Assistant supports leadership and staff by ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner, contributing to mission readiness and organizational effectiveness. This position is contingent upon award.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to managers, supervisors, and staff, including correspondence, filing, data entry, and document management.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, travel arrangements, and calendars for assigned personnel.
- Prepare, review, and distribute reports, presentations, forms, and other administrative documents.
- Maintain office records, databases, files, and tracking systems in accordance with organizational policies and recordkeeping requirements.
- Receive, screen, and route telephone calls, emails, visitors, and other communications, providing information and assistance as appropriate.
- Monitor office supply inventories, initiate procurement requests, and coordinate administrative support services to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Assist with timekeeping, personnel actions, training records, and other administrative processes as required.
- Support special projects and initiatives by gathering information, tracking action items, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative, business, or office management education is preferred.
- Experience providing administrative, clerical, or office support in a professional office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prepare, maintain, and manage records, reports, correspondence, and other administrative documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with employees, management, customers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required).
- U.S. citizenship required.
