Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks a dependable Tack Truck Driver in Farmington, NM to operate a tack truck and apply asphalt emulsion on roadways. You will perform pre-trip inspections, monitor spray rates, and coordinate with paving crews to ensure quality adhesion and safety compliance.

The role requires a CDL (A or B), a clean driving record, and flexibility to work nights and weekends in outdoor construction environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas CDL, Class A or B, with endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet MV requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle operation and safety procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions and around construction equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tack truck to apply asphalt emulsion on roadways and paving surfaces.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete vehicle inspection reports.
• Monitor spray rates and patterns for proper tack coat coverage per specs.
• Coordinate with paving crews, equipment operators, and supervisors.
• Load, transport, and unload asphalt emulsion materials safely.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot tack truck equipment.
• Maintain truck and equipment cleanliness and adhere to safety regulations.
• Report defects, accidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• May assist with other construction duties as needed.
