Job summary

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking a Data Collection Specialist to support the TAC program in a grant-funded, two-year role in Chicago. You will ensure high-quality data across CCSAO and university partnerships, coordinating with legal, investigative, service, and research teams to maintain data integrity and program alignment.

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, public policy, data science, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Enter, organize, and maintain up-to-date case records across multiple sources.
• Help standardize and document data entry processes.
• Conduct routine data quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Identify and help resolve data inconsistencies or gaps.
• Serve as a point of coordination between research partners and program staff across multiple teams.
• Follow up with TAC teams to ensure accurate data entry.
• Support tracking systems that ensure alignment between program implementation, program structure, and research design.
• Support data-sharing processes by preparing structured datasets for transfer to research.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
