Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. seeks a skilled TABB Technician to support testing and balancing of HVAC and hydronic systems. You will read plans, collect data, and prepare detailed reports for various project sites.

Ideal candidates have journeyman HVAC experience, TABB/NEBB/AABC certification, and strong communication and safety skills. This on-site role requires physical stamina and frequent travel to job locations.

Qualifications

  • High School and/or GED Equivalent. A mechanical engineering degree is a plus.
  • Journeyman-level experience with HVAC systems.
  • 3+ years of TABB industry experience.
  • TABB, NEBB, or AABC Certification required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Pro is ideal.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Respectful, professional demeanor while upholding organizational values
  • Must be able to frequently perform strenuous physical activity including standing for eight+ hours, lifting up to 50 lbs., moving in unstable conditions, adverse weather, overhead equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Read, study, and interpret system blueprints, drawings, specifications, and performance data to determine proper configuration of system components.
  • Collect and tabulate system test data and make field observations and recommendations.
  • Create detailed reports, checklists, and documentation of test results and report issues with accompanying documentation.
  • The technician will need proficiency in working with HVAC and mechanical systems and related sub-components of all types.
  • Test the performance of air and hydronic systems using tools and specialized test equipment.
  • Mathematical proficiency for basic and advanced equations related to air and hydronic balancing.
  • In this role, travel to different project locations as required.
  • Work independently and/or as part of a team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $40 - $48 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results.
