Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking an HVAC technician for on-site maintenance in Los Angeles. You will perform filter changes, belt adjustments, and routine maintenance on HVAC systems, cooling towers, and ductwork, with focus on indoor air quality and safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights, while wearing required PPE. This position offers local union-aligned compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Change and service filters and belt adjustments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Change and service filters, oil & grease bearings and perform belt adjustment and replacement services.
• Cooling tower and condenser maintenance – coils, evaporators and tubes
• Clean and perform routine maintenance as required
• Perform indoor air quality related maintenance including but not limited to the cleaning of duct systems and drain pans.
• General housekeeping tasks that are required by the customer to operate mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Valid Vehicle Operators license
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e. but not limited to, Dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
• Ability to wear a company uniform and maintain a neat personal appearance

Compensation Range: $17.30 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results.
