Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, inspect, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role requires 5+ years of field experience and a valid EPA 608 Universal license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC.
• EPA Certification (608) Universal License required.
• Commercial experience in HVAC and Refrigeration.
• Experience with safe operation of hand tools and testing devices.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training on equipment and software.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioningsystems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVACsystems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVACsystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License
• Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Participates in the ongoing training available to our crews to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Valid Driver's license and able to maintain a good driving record.

Compensation Range: $48.41 - $56.95 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
