Job summary

Halfords Careers is recruiting a Vehicle Service Technician in the UK to perform interim, full and major services along with tyre, brake, transmission, steering and suspension repairs.

The role offers on-target earnings up to £43,710, including a base salary of £35,000–£38,710 and an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £5,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served equivalent.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major vehicle services.
• Perform follow-up repair and replacement work (tyres, brakes, transmission, steering, suspension).
• Assist with service and repair tasks across the vehicle fleet.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience


• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points


• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
