Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Service Technician to perform interim, full and major services, plus follow-up repair work including tyres, brakes and suspension. You will be employed in a busy service environment with opportunities for progression and a structured benefits package.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services plus repairs such as brakes, suspension and steering replacements

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services as well as follow-up repair and replacement work
• Perform tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension tasks as part of servicing
• Ensure quality work and safe vehicle operation on completion

Job description

On-target earnings up to £38,330. Comprising a base salary of £33,830. An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £4,500 per year.

5 days a week

Skills And Experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
