Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including clutches, timing belts, electrics, brakes and suspension. You will perform diagnostics and more complex repairs with opportunities to progress through hybrid training and ATA/MOT qualifications.

The role offers a base salary of £32,790–£38,100 with On-Target Earnings up to £45,000, plus an uncapped monthly bonus scheme (average £6,900 per year) and generous benefits. 5 days a week, apply today.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience performing diagnostic work on brakes, steering/suspension, engine and other systems.

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Carry out diagnostics and repairs across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
