Job summary

AES is seeking a Transmission and Distribution Interconnection Planning Manager to oversee planning, assessment, and coordination of interconnection projects in Ohio and Indiana. You will ensure compliance with FAC-001/FAC-002, interact with TOs, large load customers, and generators, and manage contract language across GIAs, ISAs, and Wires to Wires.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong understanding of transmission and distribution system design.
• Experience with interconnection processes for MISO, PJM, PUCO, IRUC is highly desired.
• Negotiation of GIAs, ISAs, Wires to Wires, and construction agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams in OH and IN across interconnection projects.
• Oversee interconnection studies per FAC-001 and FAC-002 standards.
• Serve as technical lead for external discussions with TOs, Large Load Customers, and Generators.
• Analyze data for project scoping, feasibility, and implementation decisions.
• Manage GIAs, ISAs, CSAs, and Wire to Wire contracts and related agreements.
• Coordinate internal/contractor resources for studies, billing, and construction management.
• Maintain visibility on interconnection queues and communicate required projects.
