Georgia Power is seeking an Engineer/Project Coordinator for Interconnections Planning Transmission in Atlanta. The role coordinates with internal teams to address generator interconnection requests, develops project scopes for GSU transformers and gen tie lines up to the interconnection point, and ensures compliance with FERC and reliability standards.

You will track ongoing generation projects, manage communications, and support scheduling, budgeting, and contract documentation.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree required or equivalent.
• Electrical discipline preferred.
• Experience planning, design, operation of substations and transmission lines.
• Knowledge of interconnection processes and contracts preferred.

Responsabilités

• Define project scopes, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Prepare scopes for GSU and tie line with inputs from multiple groups.
• Coordinate budgets with Estimating team and Project Controls.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
