Job summary

Great Southwestern Construction, Inc. is seeking a T&D Estimator II to lead cost estimation for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. You will collect cost data, evaluate bid drawings and specs, and guide the estimating team to ensure competitive, profitable bids.

This role supports other estimators and coordinates with internal stakeholders. Established in 1977, Great Southwestern Construction, Inc. is a MYR Group Inc.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting bid specs and drawings.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Develop complex estimates with minor errors/omissions.
• Lead estimate review process with stakeholders and guide bidding activities.
• Identify qualified suppliers and solicit material and subcontractor pricing.
• Ensure estimates align with customer-defined submission deadlines.
• Attend field walks and pre-bid meetings as required.
