Job summary

Amentum is seeking a T-38 Aircraft Branch Manager to lead the T-38 Maintenance Department, overseeing 63 aircraft and a workforce of 90–100 personnel at Vance AFB. You will ensure safe, on-schedule maintenance and strict adherence to contract requirements and government procedures.

Responsibilities include resource management, documentation, and coordination with the department director to address issues, while maintaining safety standards and proper training records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in related field and eight (8) years relative experience, five (5) years DoD experience.
• In lieu of a degree, ten (10) years directly related experience, seven (7) years DoD experience.
• Minimum of seven (7) years supervisorial experience with general aviation, military aircraft, or manufacturing.
• Must understand and comply with Government publications and technical orders.
• Must perform analytical analysis and apply risk management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the maintenance department for 63 T-38 aircraft and 90–100 personnel.
• Ensures maintenance, flying schedules and branch activities are safe and contract-compliant.
• Enforces adherence to technical data and management procedures.
• Adjusts resources to meet production requirements and ensures shift coverage.
• Manages the certification roster and ensures accurate daily maintenance documentation.
• Assesses discrepancies for continued flight and reviews performance history.
• Initiates actions to meet workloads and correct deficiencies.
• Manages maintenance planning cycle and use of proper tools/equipment.
• Ensures safety directives and occupational health standards are followed.
• Maintains records of training requirements and disaster-control duties.
• Keeps department director informed of maintenance activities and manages facilities.
