Job summary

Amentum is seeking a T-6 Maintenance Manager at Vance Air Force Base to direct the maintenance department for 99 T-6 aircraft and about 125 personnel. You will coordinate aircraft maintenance, flying schedules, and related Branch activities to meet contract requirements safely and efficiently.

The role requires supervision, resource adjustment, certification management, detailed documentation, and risk-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Must have 8 years of relevant experience, 5 with DoD.
• In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience, 7 with DoD.
• Seven years supervisory experience in general aviation, military aircraft, or manufacturing.
• Ability to obtain DoD site access and Real ID driver’s license.
• Ability to understand and comply with Government publications and technical orders.
• Analytical skills with risk management techniques.
• Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and coaching.
• Unionized workforce experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance for 99 T-6 aircraft and ~125 personnel.
• Ensures safe execution of maintenance and schedules per contract/work statement.
• Adjusts resources to meet production requirements.
• Assigns adequate supervisory coverage for each shift.
• Manages the certification roster and proper documentation.
• Reviews performance and initiates actions to meet workloads.
• Oversees maintenance planning cycle and tool readiness.
• Ensures qualified personnel use appropriate equipment and tools.
• Ensures safety directives and OSHA standards compliance.
• Coordinates disaster control duties on-base for aircraft/SE movement.
• Keeps Maintenance Department Director informed of activities.
• Manages vehicles and facilities.
• 40-hour workweek, Monday–Friday, with some weekends.
