Job summary

Amentum is seeking a T-6 Maintenance Manager to direct the maintenance department for 99 aircraft and ~125 staff. You will oversee maintenance planning, safety compliance, and resource allocation to meet production demands in a government-focused environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring documentation accuracy, flight readiness, and adherence to technical orders. Strong leadership, risk management, and DoD experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Site access required (US Citizenship required).
• Driver's license with Real ID within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree and 8 years of related experience (5 years DoD).
• In lieu of a degree, 10 years related experience (7 years DoD).
• Minimum 7 years supervisorial experience with general aviation, military aircraft, or manufacturing.
• Ability to understand and comply with Government publications and technical orders.
• Ability to perform analytical risk assessment and management.
• Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and coaching.
• Prior experience with unionized workforce is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates maintenance of 99 T-6 aircraft and ~125 personnel.
• Ensure maintenance, schedules, and branch activities are safe and compliant with contract work statements.
• Enforce adherence to technical data and procedures; adjust resources to meet production.
• Provide supervisory coverage per shift and manage certification roster.
• Maintain accurate daily maintenance documentation and flight readiness data.
• Evaluate maintenance performance and initiate actions for new workloads.
• Oversee maintenance planning cycle and qualified personnel assignments.
• Ensure safety directives and occupational safety standards are followed.
• Communicate with leadership on conditions impacting maintenance execution.
• Maintain disaster control readiness for aircraft/SE movements.
