Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Director of Nursing Operations within our Emergency Services department. This full-time role oversees nursing operations across multiple facilities, driving strategic planning, policy development, budgeting, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality patient care system-wide.

The position emphasizes service-line leadership, staff development, and cross-departmental collaboration to optimize performance and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree as applicable to area of assigned responsibility.
• If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
• Meets contact hour requirements for Licensure, including all state-required courses.
• 5 years in a manager position.

Responsibilities

• Directs nursing operations 24/7 across multiple facilities, ensuring quality care and efficient resource management.
• Lead service line strategic planning, develop system-wide nursing policies, and collaborate with departments to align clinical and operational goals.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering unified patient care across the organization.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships to ensure high-quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
• Establish and monitor performance improvement programs aligned with system goals and regulatory standards.
• Coach and mentor managers and staff, promote effective communication, and support professional development.
