Job summary

HII Mission Technologies seeks a Systems Test Engineer to support DoD programs at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. Lead test planning, data analysis, and reporting to senior leadership while coordinating with multiple teams in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience with a related degree (or 9+ years with HS diploma), a Secret clearance, and strong technical writing, SATCOM/EW knowledge, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with bachelor’s in related field, or 3 years with master’s in related field or high school diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
• Possess and maintain a Secret clearance
• Demonstrated history of technical writing
• Demonstrated experience with Space Fundamentals, SATCOM and/or Electronic Warfare in operational/research/technical environments
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to define operational requirements with the customer and design effective tests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience with current and emerging defense technologies

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct preparation and execution of test plans, procedures, and schedules for system tests
• Ensure test adequacy by developing test methodologies and data collection plans
• Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare system-level evaluations
• Assess COTS and GOTS equipment specs for operational environments
• Analyze, evaluate, and document test data and results
• Produce test reports per organizational standards
• Present results to senior leaders for decision making
• Attend meetings and conduct interviews to develop market studies
• Lead a team or act as data collector as needed
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Support other analysts to consolidate test results
