Job summary

Mission Technologies at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM seeks a Systems Test Engineer to support multi-domain assessments for the DoD. The role emphasizes test planning, data analysis, and formal reporting to influence operational decisions.

Ideal candidates have extensive SATCOM/EW experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to work both independently and in teams, with a Secret clearance and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 15 years relevant experience with bachelor's in related field, or 13 years with master's in related field; or 19 years with HS diploma.
• Possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated history of technical writing.
• Experience with SATCOM and/or EW in operational or technical environments.
• Strong self-motivation with minimal supervision.
• Ability to define and design test requirements with the customer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system tests.
• Ensure test adequacy with data collection plans and methodologies.
• Perform system-level analysis and produce evaluations.
• Assess COTS/GOTS equipment specifications for operational use.
• Analyze, evaluate, and document test data and results.
• Produce test reports per standards and present to senior leaders.
• Lead a team or act as data collector to support assessments.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
