Job description

Join Point Solutions Group supporting flight system development initiatives for the US Army! We are hiring a Test Engineer II to work with a space technologies client in Hagerstown, MD. This role will require a minimum active Top Secret Clearance, and SCI Eligibility.

As a Test Engineer you will be using your skills and expertise to simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll develop complex test plans and procedures for a variety of systems to ensure the verification and validation of all product requirements. You will also be involved with the execution of the tests using top industry tools. As a cross functional engineer, you'll test system and component level new products and develop new test processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Test Planning & Integration:
    • Develop and manage test plans.
    • Support requirements management alongside a team of 4 test plan writers.
    • Conduct test reports, performance metrics, and reporting (training will be provided on metrics reporting).
  • Hands-On Testing & Equipment Work:
    • Perform ground testing for various aircraft systems.
    • Operate and integrate test equipment, including National Instruments tools.
    • Work on automation testing for aircraft RF systems.
    • Set up and configure networking equipment (switches, routers, IP configurations).
    • Cable sweeps, RF connections, and network layout management.
  • Flight & Operations:
    • Work with radar and intelligence systems from a flight operations perspective.
    • Support various intelligence systems.
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • BS in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related technical field.
  • FAA Class III Medical Certificate or ability to obtain one.
  • Mustang Shelby certification preferred.
  • Experience in end-to-end test planning and execution activities.
  • Experience with any or all of the following: COMINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, IMINT, ISR, RF.
  • Avionics background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with networking (R&S, IP configuration) preferred.
  • Small aircraft pilot experience preferred.
