Job summary

HII Mission Technologies, based at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Senior Systems Test Engineer to lead comprehensive system tests for DoD programs. You will develop test plans, analyze results, and present findings to senior leaders to influence mission outcomes.

Ideal candidates possess extensive experience in Space Fundamentals, SATCOM or EW, and demonstrate strong technical writing and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• 15+ years relevant experience with a bachelor's in related field, or 13+ years with a master's in related field; or 19 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Space Fundamentals, SATCOM and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) in operational, research, or technical environments.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to review, define and design tests with the customer based on operational critical requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct the preparation and execution of test plans, procedures, and schedules for systems tests and analyze results against specifications.
• Develop test methodologies, scenarios, and data collection plans to ensure test adequacy.
• Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare system-level evaluations.
• Assess COTS and GOTS equipment specifications for use in operations.
• Analyze, evaluate, and document test data and results.
• Produce test reports and present results to senior leaders for decision-making.
• Attend meetings and conduct interviews to develop and execute market studies.
• Lead a team or act as data collector for others to support assessments.
• Work independently and as part of a team; support other analysts as needed.
