Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) supports a government client in Northern Virginia, providing hardware support and IT operations expertise. The Systems Technician will assist with maintenance of workstations, servers, and peripherals, handling hands-on tasks and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include HS/GED with 1+ years in IT operations, DoD IA certifications (Security+ CE preferred), and TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; 1+ years of IT operations support experience.
• DoD IA certifications (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security); Security+ CE preferred.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph required for candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for information systems and peripheral hardware.
• Diagnose internal inquiries and work requests related to PC and system maintenance.
• Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
• Provide end-user software support and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate development of deliverables and products.
• Assist in administration of e-mail systems.
