Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a systems support professional to resolve requests and incidents, assist with server and data infrastructure installs, and manage backups and recovery. The role involves monitoring availability, applying patches, and supporting upgrades as part of a project team.

The candidate should have an associate degree in IT and relevant certifications, with experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware ESX, and Linux/Unix environments.

Qualifications

• Two years of related admin experience with Microsoft server OS (2008+) and Windows workstations.
• Active Directory group policy knowledge.
• Knowledge of core Microsoft tech: AD DS, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with VMware ESX virtualization.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and resolution of requests and incidents.
• Assist in installs of server and data infrastructure, firmware, software releases and patches.
• Monitor and back up server and data infrastructure; ensure availability.
• Support system upgrades and participate in projects as assigned.
• Work under direct supervision and communicate clearly with the team.
