Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United States is seeking a System Specialist I to install, commission, and maintain customer systems, ensuring safety and reliability. You will troubleshoot on-site, perform scheduled maintenance, and document service reports to support quality and compliance.

Job description

Join our field services team as a System Specialist I and play a key role in keeping customer operations safe, reliable, and efficient. You'll work hands-on with advanced systems, solve real-world technical challenges, and build lasting customer relationships.

What will you do?
  • Install, commission, and maintain customer systems according to established procedures and safety standards
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to maximize system performance
  • Create accurate technical documentation and service reports that support quality and compliance
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional support
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Recently graduated from an HVAC program or with a two-year technical degree
  • Two-year (2) degree in a related technical field required or related work experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and/or badges as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge
  • Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the schedules given by the leadership
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate independently and autonomously and take ownership of all tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills and team-oriented

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $60,000 - $70,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

This position does not offer sponsorship for work permit applications or renewals, either now or in the future. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, both currently and moving forward.
