Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Design Engineer in the United States to lead the design of HVAC and mechanical systems across diverse industries.

You will define technical strategies, select equipment, and set standards while addressing risk and field troubleshooting. Collaborate across teams and with customers to ensure successful project execution and solution delivery.

Join us as a Senior Mechanical Systems Design Engineer and bring your expertise in HVAC, structural engineering, and integrated mechanical systems to life. You'll lead technical design, drive innovation, and deliver solutions that make a real difference for customers across diverse industries.

What will you do?
  • Design and deliver mechanical systems including HVAC, structural components, frames, skids, and pre-fabricated buildings for varied market segments
  • Define technical strategies, equipment selections, and standards that ensure quality and consistency across projects
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and risk assessments for product and system challenges at both lab and customer sites
  • Partner with internal teams and customers to communicate solutions, document findings, and support seamless project execution

  • HVAC System Design — advanced level; designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for diverse applications
  • Mechanical Design — advanced level; creating robust mechanical solutions including frames, skids, and lifting devices
  • Product Application — advanced level; selecting and specifying equipment that meets customer requirements and technical standards
  • Personal Productivity — advanced level; managing multiple priorities and delivering results with minimal supervision
  • Adaptability — advanced level; navigating ambiguous situations and adjusting approaches based on project needs
  • Design Optimization — intermediate level; refining designs to balance performance, cost, and manufacturability
  • Technical Solution Design — intermediate level; translating customer needs into feasible engineering solutions

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 117,600 - USD 176,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
