Developmental Pathways (DP) has an opportunity for a Systems Specialist I in our Information Technology department. This position will perform a wide variety of administration and technical support tasks to end users and devices including:

  • Conducting investigations leading to interim solutions and final problem resolution
  • Acting independently to troubleshoot problems immediately to avoid costly downtime and service outages
  • Communicating and enforcing IT standards, policies, processes, and procedures with supervisor support, as necessary
  • Contributing to and expanding upon a comprehensive online knowledge base for IT staff and end users
  • Assisting in the development of all standard workstation configurations, custom workstation configurations, self-service software catalogs, and ongoing application installations
  • Assisting in the automated and manual distribution of software installations to multiple end user devices in an integrated platform environment
  • Delivering high-quality technical service and support results for all constituencies via IT Service Desk and technical support planning

This role offers a 4-day, 40-hour work week, Monday-Thursday. DP operates a primarily hybrid work environment with in-person requirements at our Colorado office. The frequency of on-site work varies by department and is subject to change based on operational needs.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in a computer-related field,
  • OR Associates degree in a computer-related field and one (1) year of industry-specific experience
  • OR a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate certifications plus one (1) year of industry-specific experience
  • Working knowledge of and experience with desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone, peripherals, imaging (print, copy, fax) and audiovisual equipment and device management tools (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)
  • Requires ongoing professional development to maintain currency and relevancy with technology tools used by the organization; candidate is expected to balance ongoing development between personal and professional sources
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance
Preferred
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot end user issues within Microsoft (MS) 365 Office Online, OneDrive, OneNote, and O365 Administration
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, ITIL: Foundation, and/or CompTIA: A+
  • Demonstrated experience in the deployment and support of automated, enterprise-level anti-virus and malware protection systems
  • Proven knowledge of and adherence to IT network, computer, server, and device security best practices
  • Experience working within a small, agile, and fast-paced IT organization consisting of client support, network, systems administration, and software development teams
  • Operating knowledge of Hyper-V operating environments
  • Operating knowledge of Voice-over-IP telephone system operations and online fax services
Additional Responsibilities
  • Responsible for delivering quality end user services ranging from assisting in device planning & acquisition, preparation & distribution, troubleshooting & support, repair & maintenance operations to remote user support, scheduled on-site service visits, and constituent feedback via the IT Support Desk
  • Ensure appropriate technology packages are acquired and pre-configured, including computer, phone, and other peripheral devices, provides needed training on use of these devices for new and existing employees
  • Deploy and manage automation systems to install and configure applications, OS and software updates and patches to ensure optimal performance and data security across the company-wide network and beyond; devices will be primarily Windows 11, OSX, iOS, and Android in nature
  • Work within a variety of Operating Systems and Technical Software Environments, such as, MS-server, Hyper-V, Windows, Mac OSX, iOS, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and numerous hosted and systems required by various local, State, and Federal agencies
  • Implement and test processes and procedures for device tracking and application management of end user devices, as assigned; ensure adherence to best practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with peers, system administrators, software, and network support teams to troubleshoot and resolve enterprise-level problems that impact end users, devices & systems
  • Assist both internal and external stakeholders with ongoing training/workshop/New Employee Orientation sessions
  • Use an appropriate suite of remote management, device recovery tools and virtual desktop tools, will maintain the capacity to minimize loss of network connectivity, device integrity and software/application functionality to ensure uninterruptible services for end users
  • Design, develop, and provide instruction and ongoing guidance regarding end user systems and services; document and train staff throughout all project lifecycles
  • Assist with daily monitoring of programs/systems and troubleshoot solutions with team members when issues occur
  • Ensure safety and security of all devices, systems, software, peripherals, etc. while following proper safety and security policies and procedures
  • Assist in the repair and recovery from various systems failures; coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies utilizing appropriate methods, timing, and urgency
  • Ensure vendor performance and contract compliance; route emergent and crisis issues to supervisor for immediate action and compliance of vendors to meet performance metrics and requirements of organization
  • Participate in the formation of projects goals, scope, and schedules and ensure invoicing/billing processes are completed in a timely manner
