Job summary

Follett Products, LLC is hiring a Systems Specialist to support and manage IT systems at our Easton location. The role emphasizes server administration, monitoring, and deployment of IT solutions across hardware, software, and security domains.

You will work with internal teams and external vendors to maintain IT resiliency. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in computer technology or equivalent, 5+ years' experience, and strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • Microsoft certification preferred.
  • Experience with hosting and cloud providers.
  • Experience on IT-related projects in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the daily administration of a server environment.
  • Monitors system performance and diagnoses issues for deployment of solutions.
  • Installs upgrades, patches, and new applications/equipment.
  • Acts as point of contact for server, hardware, and software support.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs enterprise end-user systems and devices.
  • Builds and configures PC/server hardware and software.
  • Maintains troubleshooting logs and interactions in internal tools.
  • Liaises with Microsoft, Dell, Apple support for vendor issues.
  • Assists in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Supports documentation and internal IT policies.

Follett has an opportunity for a Systems Specialist to join our Team in our Easton location!

The Systems Specialist will support existing IS systems with implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the following technologies: IT Hardware (PC's, Handhelds and Printers), Microsoft, Apple, VoIP, Backups, Server, Networking, and Security. This role will work closely with other team members both internal and external to the organization and must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team setting.

Essential Job Duties
  • Assists with the daily administration of a server environment.
  • Monitors Company system performance and performs testing to provide a diagnosis of issues and to assist with the deployment of solutions.
  • Installs upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
  • Point of contact for server, hardware, and software support via phone or email.
  • Helps and troubleshoots, and/or repairs enterprise end user systems to include various software packages, printers, scanning devices, mobile devices, and various other IT features.
  • Builds, upgrades, or configures new and used PC and server hardware and software.
  • Maintains detailed troubleshooting and customer interaction logs provided in internal tracking tools.
  • Performs vendor support for clients regarding matters requiring Microsoft, Dell, Apple support.
  • Assists with the creation and updating of internal IT policies.
  • Responsible for identity and access management. (Active Directory, AzureAD)
  • Assists in disaster recovery implementations, testing scenarios, and operations.
  • Participates in team meetings and provides input on intelligent solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Understands business requirements to support projects and implementations.
  • Helps create documentation and workflows.
  • Identifies weaknesses in existing processes and applications. Helps research potential opportunities.
  • Manages multiple tasks and communicates progress at regular intervals.
  • Keeps abreast of current standards and trends in IT and emerging technology.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience.
  • Microsoft certification preferred.
  • Experience working with hosting and cloud providers.
  • Experience working on teams developing IT related projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated; must be able to multitask and quickly realign priorities.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of IT security.

Key competencies in the following technologies: M365, Active Directory, Group Policies, PowerShell, Windows systems (Win10\11, Server 2012r2 and up), Zebra, GoTo, Rubrik, SQL, ESXi, Windows Server administration/migrations, File & Print sharing, Meraki, OneDrive, DocLink, PDQ, PRTG, SOX, CBQ, Bartender, Factory Track, PaceJet, Infor CSI.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Office/manufacturing environment.
  • Extended periods of sitting, occasional standing and walking.
  • Lifting/moving objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers to type on keyboard, operate computer mouse, use of telephone and various office equipment.
  • Extended periods of viewing computer monitor.
  • Noise level in work environment: low to moderate.
Travel Requirements
  • Minimal to no travel required.
