Northrop Grumman Corp. in Rancho Bernardo, CA seeks a Level 2/3 Systems Safety Engineer to apply systems and safety engineering for the AISR&T program.

You will identify hazards, develop safety requirements, and validate safety across the lifecycle, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure safe, compliant system designs. The role requires a STEM degree, 2–5+ years of relevant experience, and an active Secret or higher clearance.

Competenze

• Bachelor or higher in a STEM field required or preferred.
• Experience with safety analyses (PHA/FHA/SSA/FMEA/FTA) is preferred.
• Active government clearance (Secret or higher) required for the role.

Mansioni

• Perform system safety activities across the lifecycle, including hazard identification, analysis, tracking, and mitigation.
• Develop and maintain safety requirements and ensure proper allocation and verification.
• Plan and execute safety validation activities and define acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and reliability teams to incorporate safety in design decisions.
• Prepare safety documentation and artifacts for reviews and customer deliverables.
• Present findings and risks to program and customer stakeholders.
